Heroes, how do you find answers that are flagged as "abuse or spam" to fix them? As in, where do you look on the site?

My experience with abuse/spam answers goes a little something like this...

Explanation:

Hey, Becca and fellow heroes!

Unfortunately, I don't have a special technique to share on finding spam/abuse answers, I usually just spot them on the subject pages.

The interesting thing to note here is that not all abuse/spam answers actually make it to "flagged" status, I usually remove the ones I find before people get a change to flag them :D

I don't think that we got more than 3-4 abuse/spam answers per week on average this summer, but I expect that number to go up in a couple of weeks once school season gets under way.

As far as how I find them, I just go topic page by topic page. I usually check all answers posted by new users/users I'm not familiar with - I'm a little OCD-ish, so this is actually enjoyable to some degree :)

What's funny about this is that most of the people that post abuse/spam answers actually make the answers easier to spot because they start their rant in the answer box, which of course means that I don't have to actually click on the answer to see the abuse.

As far as I can tell, a lot of abuse/spam instances are actually updates, so I always check updates made by new users. Always.

This may seem like a lot of trouble, but it takes me less than 15 minutes after I first log in to check all the topic pages, depending on the activity level.

So, I spot a lot of spam/abuse flags because I check the topic pages a lot, I don't particularly trust new users (I'm working on that, though :P), and I get to check the pages when most US contributors are sound asleep - time zone perks :)
