How are the Roman Forum and the Globe Theatre similar?

They're not very, other than being a public gathering place. Architecturally they are dissimilar and one is a multi-function space the other a purpose built theatre.

Explanation:

There are many Forums in Rome. The started out as Markets that were used for festivals, celebrations and other events that attracted large crowds. They are rectangular in Plan. Acoustics were probably a challenge in them due to their square shape.

The Globe was meant as a Theatre, It is semi-circular in plan with elevated seating for those willing to pay for it. Acoustically it would have been much better and more like the Greek and Roman theatres and Auditoria.
