Comets are very cold mostly ice made of different gases and water.

Explanation:

THey also contains small rocks and dust particles.When reaching the orbit of Saturn they sublimate the ice and gases are produced.
dust, rocks and particles. are scattered around Sun when the comet goes back.This dust and particles orbit sun and when earth crosses their orbit the particles come down to earth and hits atmosphere of earth at high speeds..This causes friction and lot of heat is produced.which burns the particle;les. which we call meteors.
