How could a rock be changed but still be classified as the same form of rock?

Well there are a couple of ways, there could be a fault in the earths crust which is made of rock or it can be also changed by Folding

Explanation:

fault is when a break happens in a rock layer splitting it in half, and folding is when there is so much pressure on a rock that it bends or "folds". Hope this helps
