How do anatomy and physiology complement each other?
They help you understand how things function in an organism, like the cheetah example below.
Anatomy is the study of the body structure of humans, animals, and other living organisms. Physiology is the study of the normal functions of an organism.
They go hand in hand with certain studies, like if you wanted to know why a cheetah runs fast. The speed of a cheetah is normal and a part of its everyday life and it uses it to catch prey and get away from threats.
But once you look at the anatomy of a cheetah, you can see how and why it goes fast. It has strong leg muscles and a thin body that helps it move quickly. It also has a long tail to help with balance, especially when it's making tight turns when it runs.
