Plants and animals maintain the carbondioxide and oxygen.
Explanation:
- The carbon cycle and oxygen cycle is mainly maitained by the plants animals.
- Oxygen is released in the environment from the water by the process of photosynthesis. Although, oxygen is utilised by both plants and animals for the processs of respiration.
- Photosytnesis and respirstion are opposite metabolic actvities to each other. In photosynthesis, carbondioxide is utilised, while in repiration oxygen utlised.
- In photosythesis, carbon dioxide is utilised from the atmosphere and oxygen is released from the water by the process of photolysis of water.
- In respiration carbon dioxide and water is released from the product of photosynthesis i.e., glucose.
