$x = - 2$ $x=-2$
$y = 3$ $y=3$

$4 x = - 11 + y$ $4x=-11+y$

$\Rightarrow 4 x + 11 = y$ $=> 4x+11=y$

And

$- 6 x - 9 = y$ $-6x-9=y$

As both are equal to y , they should be equal.

$4 x + 11 = - 6 x - 9$ $4x+11=-6x-9$

$\Rightarrow 4 x + 6 x = - 9 - 11$ $=>4x+6x=-9-11$

$\Rightarrow 10 x = - 20$ $=>10x=-20$

$\Rightarrow x = - 2$ $=> x=-2$

Now put this value in any one of the equation to get value of $y .$ $y.$

$y = - 6 x - 9$ $y=-6x-9$

$\Rightarrow y = - 6 (- 2) - 9$ $=>y=-6(-2)-9$

$\Rightarrow y = 12 - 9$ $=>y=12-9$

$\Rightarrow y = 3$ $=>y=3$
