Here ,

#x+2y=1to...........................(1)#

#3x-y=3to...........................(2)#

#:.-y=3-3x#

#:.y=3x-3to......................(3)#

Substituting value of #y# into #(1)#

#x+2(3x-3)=1#

#:.x+6x-6=1#

#7x=1+6=7#

#:.color(red)(x=1#

Subst. #x=1# into #(3)#

#y=3(1)-3=3-3#

#:.color(red)(y=0#
