A matrix with inverse is called an invertible matrix.

Explanation:

If a matrix #M# has an inverse, then we typically denote that matrix by #M^(-1)#.

Analogously the multiplicative inverse of a number #x# can be written #x^(-1)# or #1/x# - the result of inverting #x/1#, i.e. turning it upside down.

So we call a matrix with multiplicative inverse invertible.
