Well, take the weighted mass of each element as a percentage of the molecular mass....

And calcium nitrate has a molar mass of #164.09* g*mol^-1#..

...and thus #%Ca=(40.1*g)/(164.09*g*mol^-1)xx100%=24.4%#

...and #%N=(2xx14.01*g)/(164.09*g*mol^-1)xx100%=17.1%#

...and #%O=(6xx16.00*g)/(164.09*g*mol^-1)xx100%=58.5%#

Do the percentages add up to #100%#? Should they do so?
