# How do you evaluate log10^-2?

Mar 18, 2016

I found $- 2$ if in base $10$.
We can take the $- 2$ and put it in front of the log:
$\log {10}^{- 2} = - 2 \log 10 =$
if your log is in base $10$ you then get (from the definition of log):
$= - 2 \cdot 1 = - 2$
