$(x^2+2)/(x+2)= x-2+6/(x+2)$

$(x^2+2)/(x+2)$

$= (x^2+2x-2x-4+6)/(x+2)$

$= (x(x+2)-2(x+2)+6)/(x+2)$

$= x-2+6/(x+2)$
