How do you find sin(x) and cos(x) if `tan(x)=sqrt(3)`?

Sin x = `sqrt3/2`; cos x = `1/2`

Make a Right triangle and for one of the acute angles 'x' mark its base leg as 1 and the opposite leg`sqrt3`. Use Pythagoras theorem to find the hypotenuse of the right triangle. That would come out to be 2. Now sin x would be `sqrt3/2` and cos x would be `1/2`
