How do you graph the equation #y=2x-7#?

You need a minimum of three points to plot a straight line.
#y=2x-7# the #y# intercept is (0,-7)
When #y=0, 2x=7 so => x=3.5# this gives (3.5,0)
Then pick another value for #x# and substitute it into the equation to get a #y# value.
Plot these three points and draw a straight line through them.
You are often given end points for you to plot the graph between so you only draw the line between these points.
