# How do you multiply 2/7 \cdot -3.5?

Oct 1, 2014

It is very easy to multiply two numbers;

$\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)$ x (-3.5)

-3.5 can be written as $\left(- \frac{3.5}{1}\right)$

I can also write as

$\left(\frac{2}{7}\right)$ x $\left(- \frac{3.5}{1}\right)$

Multiplying the numerators and denominators , we get;

( 2 x -3.5 / 7 x 1 )

$\left(- \frac{7}{7}\right)$ = -1
