So $\frac{4 x}{3} \times \frac{8 x}{2} = \frac{4 x \times 8 x}{3 \times 2} = \frac{\cancel{2} \times 2 x \times 8 x}{3 \times \cancel{2}} = \frac{16 {x}^{2}}{3}$
