Assume that both the numerator and the denominator are positive.

  1. The larger the numerator is, the larger the fraction is.
  2. The smaller the denominator is, the larger the fraction is.

So,

#11/12 < 12/12 < 12/11 < 13/11 < 13/10#,

we have

#11/12 < 12/11 < 13/10#.
