# How do you simplify the expression ln(ln e)+log_2 8?

You can see that from the definition of logarithm you have:
${\log}_{a} b = x \to {a}^{x} = b$

and also ${\log}_{e} = \ln$

So you get:

$\ln e = 1$

$\ln 1 = 0$

${\log}_{2} \left(8\right) = 3$

finally:

$\ln \left(\ln e\right) + {\log}_{2} \left(8\right) = 3$
