#5b - 5(2-5b) = -5(-7b-2)#

First get rid of parantheses:

#5b - 10 + 25b = 35b + 10#

Now collect terms (include b) on the left hand side and numbers on the other:

#30 b - 35 b = 10 + 10#

#-5b = 20#

#b=-20/5 = -4#
