Explanation:

Attach the negative in front of # -2/7 " to either the 2 or the 7 but not both " #
Similarly for the x , since it is multiplying it belongs with the 2.

equation now becomes : # 8/21 =( -2x)/7 #

now cross multiply

hence : -42x = 56

divide both sides by -42

#rArr (cancel(-42) x)/cancel(-42) = 56/-42 = -8/6 = -4/3 #
