Arrange the equation first:

#b=(2/3)-(1/8)#

Expand first number by 8 and second number by 3:

#b=(16/24)-(3/24)#

#b=(16-3)/24#

#b=13/24#

This is the solution. You can check it with a calculator (I do not go beyond third number in decimals here):

#1/8=0.125#
