`y=-3x+8..............(i)`
`y=2x+3................(ii)`
Since the `L.H.S` of `(i)` and `(ii)` are equal to the same variable `y` therefore the `R.H.S` of `(i)` and `(ii)` will also be equal.
`implies 2x+3=-3x+8`
`implies 5x=5`
`implies x=1`
Put `x=1` in `(ii)`
`implies y=2*1+3`
`implies y=5`
