Explanation:

This is how we do this:
x=(-9y-5)/2x=−9y−52 ( From equation 1)
putting the value of xx in equation 2
6(-9y-5)/2 - 12= -3y6−9y−52−12=−3y

-27y-15-12=-3y−27y−15−12=−3y

-27 = 24y−27=24y

y= -27/24y=−2724
therefore y=-9/8

Now put the value of 'y'in the first equation to get the value of 'x'
Hence solved.
