Explanation:

-5x+9y =18 (1)
-3x+2y =21 (2) Multiplying equation (1) by 3 and equation (2) by 5 we get -15x+27y =54 (3)
-15x+10y =105(4) Now subtracting equation (4) from (3) we get 17y= -51 or y = -3 :. 3x=2*(-3)-21=-6-21=-27 or x= -9[Ans]
