Find the X , Y intercepts.
At x=0; y=8
(0, 8) is one of the points on this line.
At y=0; x=8
((8, 0) is another point on the same line.

x-2y=-4 ---------- (2)

Find the X, Y intercepts.

At x=0; y=2

(0, 2) is a point on the 2nd line
At y=0; x=-4
(-4, 0) is another point on the same line
Plot these two points and join them with the help of a straight line.[Blue colour line]

Locate the point where they cut each other. It is (4, 4)
