Explanation:

Divide both sides by 4 giving

#|n+8|=56/4=14#

This means that what end up in the 'absolute' is +14 or -14

as #|+-14|=14#

Consider the case of -14#=>n+8=-14# so #n=-22#

Consider the case of +14#=>n+8=+14# so #n=6#
