$\frac{x - 1}{x - 3} = \frac{2}{x - 3} \implies$ multiply both sides by $x - 3$:
$x - 1 = 2 \implies$ add 1 to both sides:
$x = 3 \implies$ notice that $x = 3$ is not in the domain of the original equation since it makes it undefined, hence 3 is not a solution and must be rejected and this equation therefore has no solutions.
