How do you write an equation in standard form for a vertical line passing through (-5, -2)?

A linear equation in "standard form" looks like
Ax+By=C

A vertical line is of the form
x=C
If (-5,-2) is on the vertical line, then
x=-5
or in (expanded) standard form:
(1)x +(0)y = -5

x=-5 or x+5=0
You want a vertical line; so it has always the same x (otherwise it would be inclined) and y can change freely.
The equation x=-5 has a fixed value of x (i.e. -5) and can have any value of y.
