#x+2# is already in standard form.

The convention is to gather the highest order terms together first followed by the next highest order, down to any constant term.

For example, #2+6x^2y^2-3x^3# would be written as:

#6x^2y^2-3x^3+2#

The order of the first term is #2+2 = 4#, the next #3# and the order of the constant term is #0#.
