Are Octopus and Squid water versions of the Venus Flytrap?

Explanation:

There's more jellyfish on earth than any lifeform less the cell itself. I'm adding the jellyfish.

Like roots, the tentacles of the Octopus, Squid and Jelly propel it in a liquid atmosphere. With exoskeletons mostly dependent on liquid inflation. When their tentacles stop pumping the snails get them.

All are excellent examples of Polymorphism. Like Venus Flytraps, they process both plant and animal for fuel. With two fuel paradigms they are drawn to the the safest and most plentiful environment for predator avoidance.

The Octopus inherited more specialty than the Squid and Jelly...

Octopus walking on land.

What coastal land animal feeds on Octopus? I'm sure there's a few.

Good question. Thank you for making me think. Love johnny
