Climate change will have a great impact on global forests, but it is dependent on what the climate change is.

Explanation:

Climate change means the climate changes, it is not the same as global warming.

Furthermore the climate change is going to be different in different parts of the world.

If the change is warming then it benefits global forests as you will have an increased frost free season. It will also tend to reduce the amount of coniferous forests as deciduous trees will out compete them.

If the change is cooling then the opposite occurs.

If the change is an increase in rainfall then the forest will benefit, and a drier climate will hurt the forest.
