The term Mathematics is an abstract form of science. Meaning that it uses quantities, numbers and values to convey certain conventions and ideas,

The term Science relates to the systematic study of the physical and natural world through experimentation and observation.

How does this help you?

Look at it this way, to introduce a topic you need to define the terms in order to get a better grasp of what it is you are brainstorming or writing about.

So at least now, you have an adequate background about the terms and can begin the process of drawing up your main points.

1) Math and Science is in our Technology

  • Every Single Form of Technology on our planet has undergone some process of Science and Mathematics. For instance, a website like Socratic needed to be "coded" in order for people to access the site.

2) Math and Science Progresses our Society

  • Without these two subjects Our World Would be Nothing . Math was used to develop the calendar we follow; and depending on what religion you believe in, people of religious distinction used Mathematics to align certain holidays to precise days of the week. For example, the Gregorian Calendar is defined as the "Universal Calendar" in which the majority of the world follows.
  • Also it allows for people to have an Education which complements the next point....
  • Jobs ! The majority of Science and Math related fields take up a decent if not great, portion of worldwide employment.

3) Math and Science Enhances our Quality of Life

  • This can also be mentioned in the first and second points.
  • Math and Science Enables Society to Maintain Rapid Communication and better the closeness between family and friends regardless of distance. Back then, people had to send messages via mail.
  • It Expedites The Way We Move ; planes, cars, buses, and trucks all require these forms of technology to better how we transport ourselves. Before people had to walk or take a horse and carriage.
  • You could say that it Developed Things That are "Luxurious" to what the alternative would have been many years ago; electric toothbrushes, lava lamps, etc.

There are a countless number of points that you can use to support this topic, but I'm going to leave it here.
