Science at the present time has no explanation of the origin of life.

Explanation:

There are multiple theories regarding the origin of the first cell.
These theories vary from the origin being from outer space, and aliens planting life on earth, to accidental formation of proteins by lighting and crystals forming the information found in the RNA or DNA.

Philosophically most scientists are commented to a purely naturalistic explanation to the origin of life. Empirically there is no evidence (yet) of a mechanism for the formation of an biologically active cell from non biotic materials.

The probability of the complex information rich molecules required for the formation of the first cell occurring by random chance is so remote to be theoretically impossible.

Some Scientists are searching for a yet unknown natural mechanism that could explain the origin of life despite the mathematical improbability of complex molecules occurring by chance.
