Social sciences and environmental science have a lot of areas that cover similar topics but from different points of views. Social science look at humans while environmental looks at the Earth and living things.

Social science is a pretty large umbrella that covers many subjects that deal with humans. It includes geography, economics, politics, law, and cultural studies.

When we look at environmental science we are using different disciplines to understand the earth and living things on it.

Humans have a huge impact on the earth and it's environment. We can take part social science and see how it impacts the environment. Just a few of the areas where they easily blend together- environmental law, how communities decide to use the land for recreation or for industry, laws and policies about pollution, land use, and development.
