Explanation:
When waves reach shallow water near the shore, they begin to break. As the breaking waves hit the shoreline, it knocks fragments off existing rock formations and caries particles of rocks and sand.
As waves carry large amount of sand, pieces of shells, and rock particles, at some point it will be deposited in the shoreline.
