They learned about these from the artefacts, seals, bricks and ruins found On the surrounding regions of Indu in India and Pak.The aryans were said to have come from Central Asia which is controversial.

Explanation:

When British built the east railway line a British officer Alexander Cunningham found baked bricks and seals. He published them in 1872-75. Half century later John fleet discovered more seals which prompted the Archeological survey of India to excavate in 1921-22 under Sir John Marshal resulting in the discovery of Harappa by Marshal,Raj Bahadur Daya ram Sahni and Madho Swaroop Vats and Mohenjedaro by Rakhal Das Banerjee.

Advent of Aryans is thought to be a reason for destruction of Indus Valley civilisation but the true reason is not known. Aryan Vedic text provide the details about their culture and traditions. Researchers also suggest that they were from India and not from Central Asia as believed. Their origin is yet to be known , there are only assumptions.
