Human population growth and environmental sustainability are related since more humans require more natural resources. This in turn, can cause a demand of natural resources that is unsustainable.

Explanation:

Currently throughout the world, we are experiencing a human overpopulation crisis. The term "overpopulation" comes when the human population goes other the carrying capacity of the Earth. As mentioned before, human overpopulation can be detrimental to the environment when natural resources are overused to the point that using those resources becomes unsustainable. As human overpopulation continues we will have a long list of effects including:

  • Degradation of the Environment
  • Depletion of Natural Resources
  • Higher Cost of Living
  • Rise in Unemployment
  • Conflicts and Wars
  • And much more
