How is unemployment measured?

Unemployment is measured through surveys of some thousand households and by the organizations who monitored employment in each country.Usually unemployed people are registered through such organizations for benefits and advice.
No measure of unemployment is completely accurate since there are some people out of work but looking for a job who are not picked up by the official statistics
