Modern man called Homo sapiens is on the earth for about 40,000 years.
Explanation:
Firstly, man was a primary consumer and used to feed on roots and fruits.
Later, it become secondary consumer and predator and started hunting and killing prey.
Eventually, modern man evolved. He changed his niche in the ecosystem. Modern man can modify his external environment . He constructs home to live in. He makes attire to wear. He releases heat energy from fossil fuel. Thus the physical environment almost can't affect the modern man.
