In the above figure the rhombus #ABCD# is formed by two chords # (DA and AB)# and two radii #(BC and CD)#

Obviously

#AB=BC=CD=DA=AC=r="radius of the circle"=16cm#

So area of the rhombus is twice the area of an equilateral triangle of side #r=16cm# .

Hence the area of the rhombus #=2xxsqrt3/4r^2cm^2#

#=sqrt3/2xx16^2=128sqrt3cm^2#
