How would you graph and write this problem? A company requires the length of each widget to be in the range of 9.82 ± 0.07 cm. What is the range of acceptable length of a widget.

The main part of this problem that I don't understand is what ± means. An explanation of this would be great c:

[9.75,9.89]

Explanation:

The logic stands behind the fact that you can't manufacture a perfect 9.82 lenght. Simply the real life is not perfect so Engineers came up with 'acceptable range' which means: if the product is in that range then it's fine and can be sold.
L=9.82
a=0.07quad
[L-a,L+a]quad=>quad[9.82-0.07,9.82+0.07]

range you are looking for: [9.75,9.89]
