I'm currently trying to complete a lab report of finding out the concentration of glucose in a honey sample using a chemical and enzymatic assay. I'm currently trying to work out what to plot the graph as, absorance against glucose %/concentration/uL?

1 Answer

Plot absorbance (Y-axis) vs the standard concentration (x-axis).

Explanation:

Plot absorbance (Y-axis) vs the standard concentration (x-axis).

Do a linear regression and get the slope (make intercept as zero).

The slope has units of Absorbance/concentration.

For the unknown sample, divide the absorbance by the slope calculated above.

The concentration thus obtained has to be multiplied by the dilution factor.
