I assume that #angle CXD=angle AXB#

Now
#angle D=angle B=90°#
#angle CXD=angle AXB#

So #triangle ABX~~triangle CDX# (AA similarity)

#=>(CD)/(AB)=(DX)/(BX)#

#=>(CD)/(12)=(2.5)/5#

#=>(CD)/12=1/2#

#=>(CD)=12*1/2#

#=>CD=6#
