Ammonia is a compound

Explanation:

Element: A substance that cannot be chemically interconverted or broken to simpler substances. E.g. Hydrogen, Helium, Lithium, Beryllium etc are elements.

Compound: a thing that is composed of two or more separate elements.

So, what’s Ammonia (#"NH"_3#)? Obviously it’s a compound. It’s composed of Nitrogen and Hydrogen.
