No

Explanation:

fundamental to democracy is the concept that all people are equal under the law. Another tenet of democracy is that people should have the authority to choose and change their government.

Imperialism imposes rule from a force outside of the group of people being ruled. The rule is usually imposed by force either, military or economic, or both. The peoples conquered and ruled by an imperialistic power usually do not have the choice of if they want the rule by the imperialistic power and changing the rule can be very difficult and usually required violence.

The citizens of the Imperial power that are governing the conquered nations are almost always regarded as superior. There is usually unequal administration of the law. Those members of the imperial power are not judged the same under the law.

Imperialism works against the ideals of democracy.
