Is racism still a thing in the world and why?

Racism is still very much alive in the world mainly because of ignorance. People do not bother to look beyond race.Some people are racist just because the were taught certain beliefs by their parents or gaurdians. Racism fuels off of reactions. If someone is bieng racist and saying something like black people are the only violent people, then don't react by punching them. You are only fueling the fire and not to mention you will most likely get in trouble.
