the earths radius is 6378km. the average continental crust is about 35km deep. even at that depth temperature in 150degrees celsius and the deepest that man traveled is anywhere between 9-13km . apart from temperature man would face many more obstacles in a journey to the centre of the. pressure, harmful gases, lava all pose formidable challenges in this journey.
