Is the equation #St=u+1/2 a*(2t-1)# dimensionally correct? I mean Dimension of S and U are not the same, right?

Well, firstly I must praise you for your observation, you have nicely detected a problem.

Well, looking into how the eqution was derived, you will get that,

It tells us about displacement in unit second,as we calculate by subtracting displacement occured in #(t+1)# th #s# - displacement occured in #t# th #s#

So,apparently, the displacement we calculate from the equation is displacement occured in #1s# which corresponds to velocity,

So,basically #S_t# is #(S_t)/(1s)#

so it has the dimension of #[LT^-1]#
