Yes and no

Explanation:

The sun is a fairly ordinary G-type main sequence star, so there are many like it.

However, if you were to pick a star entirely at random from the Milky Way galaxy, then #85%# of the time it would be a red dwarf star. Red dwarfs are far more numerous, so should probably be considered the typical kind of star.
