Joe walked half way from home to school when he realized he was late. He ran the rest of the way to school. He ran 33 times as fast as he walked. Joe took 66 minutes to walk half way to school. How many minutes did it take Joe to get from home to school?

Thanks....

Let Joe walked with velocity v m/min
So he ran with velocity 33v m/min.

Joe took 66min to walk half way to school. So he walked 66v m and also ran 66vm.

Time taken to run 66v m with velocity 33v m/min is #(66v)/(33v)=2min#

And time taken to walk first half is 66min

So total time requird to go from home to school is #66+2=68min#
